OG Nintendo DS (2004) unboxing review

hey welcome to my first nintendo DS boxing review today we'll be looking at the original Nintendo DS that was sold all the way back in 2004

lets look at the box

the box is in mint condition the back of it shows all of its features it even has 2 games inside lets open this dual screen gadget and see what's inside

so far we have the manual for the console explaining how to use it it also comes with an old sweepstakes deal for other free Nintendo consoles

and here's the free game of Mario 64 DS which is the classic Nintendo 64 game for Nintendo DS it comes in this cool dvd game case which has the manual inside the DS game its self comes in this small game card about the size of a cheez-it cracker and it also comes with a physical demo of a metroid prime hunters an upcomming metroid game for the Nintendo DS I'll be doing reveiws for all those games later

and here's the sleek Nintendo DS console itself the d pad and four face buttons are small but has big meaty sholder buttons for the console l and r the start and select are tiny but the power switch is a power button up top theres a microphone two slots one for game boy advance games and Nintendo DS games and you cant talk about DS's without mentioning its dual screens including the top and touch screen on the system it also came with the small stylus as big as a toothpick a charging cable the same as the Gameboy advance sp's and a port for headphones and because it's a special headphone jack an upcoming nintendo DS head set for online voice chat

the soft software is pretty unique the DS jinge when you turn it on is iconic the UI in the menu might take some getting use to but its not hard to use it and there's a really cool pictochat to comunicate to other DS systems there's also download play to play multiplayer games together without a link cable and if you have internet play against players from around the world and there's also a weird feature when you adjust the settings you have to turn the system off to get back in which is just werid

final thoughts:
its a pretty ok system but its pretty wide heavey and hard to put In your pocket but a pretty cool system for 2004

official ds rating scale: 8 out of 10

tune in next time for more Nintendo DS reveiws
